The Dog Inn, a delightful centuries-old hostelry, occupies a prominent position 5 minutes walk from Ludham Bridge, on the River Ant, where free moorings are available. The picture postcard village of Ludham is approximately a half hour walk away, with Womack Staithe just a little further on. Wroxham, often referred to as ‘the heart of the Norfolk Broads’ is less than 5 miles away. In the process of being sympathetically restored both outside and in, it is set back from the road and stands in nearly two acres of grounds with a play area for children and a large patio area for relaxed alfresco eating. We offer one of the few camp sites in the area – ideal for tents and tourers alike, it has fine views across the marshes to Thurne mill. The Dog Inn has been the watering hole for boating holidaymakers, birdwatchers, cyclists, hikers and, of course, locals for many years. Owners Geoff & Lorraine Clinch are investing heavily in the now thriving freehouse, giving it a comfortable family atmosphere with simple, quality pub food and a good range of specialist ales, beers and wines.

"Ah! Here's the house the Yachtsmen cried, and soon the boys were all inside". (From a 1938 advertisement for the Dog Inn).
